ULA Dubai is a multi-million dollar development project that will include luxury hotels, residential towers, shopping malls, and an airport. The development is expected to create over 10,000 jobs.
The project is being spearheaded by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and vice president of UAE. Construction began in 2011 and is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
ULA Dubai will feature a variety of luxurious hotels including the Trump International Hotel and Tower, the Intercontinental Resort & Spa at Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Fairmont The Palm Jumeirah. There will also be several residential towers including the Address Downtown Tower, which will have 163 stories and reach a height of 502 feet (157 meters).
Shopping malls planned for ULA Dubai include the Mall of the Emirates, which will have more than 350 stores, and The Gate at Madinat Jumeirah which will include 300 shops. An airport terminal is also planned for ULA Dubai.
How does ula Dubai work?
The ula Dubai service is an airport shuttle service operated by the Dubai Airports Company (DAC). The service operates from terminals 1, 3, and 5 of the Dubai International Airport. The three-terminal stop points are connected by a free shuttle bus network.
There are two types of tickets available: a single-ride ticket which costs Dhs10 and a travel card which costs Dhs30 and gives holders unlimited rides for the period of validity. Passengers can also purchase transfers at their destination.
Fares are regulated according to the distance traveled. The fare for a trip between terminals 1 and 3 is Dh20, while the fare between terminals 1 and 5 is Dh25. Between terminals 3 and 5, the fare is Dh30.
